The man who is best known in the casino line is Charles Fey, the creator of the first slot machine ever. However even before Charles was working on his slot machine in his home basement, another model of the slot machine was developed, though quite different from one which are used today. The earlier version was designed by Sittman and Pitt back in 1891. At that time, not being so known, the slot machine was just a machine with five drums which did not even give a jackpot to the person who won. These machines just gave out drinks and similar stuff to the people who won. Charles called his machine Liberty bell and he came into the market with a person called Bugsy Siegel who started his casino in his hotel in Las Vegas. It was quite an unusual machine, which showed suits from playing cards and the popular fruit symbols which were seen nowhere. Not a long time after this, several states in America banned the casino slot machines. However in 1960’s, slot machines were again reintroduced in the casino world, but this time, it came back with a vengeance. This time, the machines were already electronic, and more and more casinos were buying these machines due to their popularity. Not long after, random number generators were used to operate these machines. With a push of a button, people could spin the machine. Now days, slot machines are a major source of revenue in all the casinos of the world. These can also be played online these days.
